Condolence From: Richard Denier

Condolence: My sincerest condolences to the family of Eugene Nunez. Mr. Nunez was a great math teacher and most importantly a very nice person. I had Mr. Nunes as my Trigonometry teacher my junior year of high school in 1967-68. Without question, he was one of the best teachers I ever had and certainly the finest math teacher I ever had. Teachers have a multiplier effect on society. In Mr. Nunez' case, I would say his was geometric. My brother had Mr. Nunez as a teacher also, My brother majored in math in college and I minored in math. Teachers have a lasting impact on society. In Mr. Nunez' case, his impact was incredibly positive. Indeed, it was a lucky day for Galt High School and the Galt community when Eugene Nunez decided to move to Galt in 1961.

Condolence From: Regina Lopez

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Nunez's passing. He was my high school Math teacher and I never realized what an outstanding teacher he was until I took my first college math course. He truly prepared his students for the next step in life.
He was also the Vice Principal for a short time . He was made for that job. He listened to his students who had problems and never made you feel the teacher who complained about you was in the right just because you were the student. I have been out of school for 30 years and of all the teachers who taught me in high school, I remember him the most and was proud to have been his student.
