Ruth Elsie Ogren
Ruth Elsie Ogren, 87, of Lodi, passed away on September 19, 2016, in Lodi. She was born in Lodi, on November 8, 1928, to Rudolf and Natalie Geiszler. Ruth attended Lodi schools. She was a homemaker, but did work as a caregiver for a few years. She was a Women’s Club president, Cub Scout leader, youth camp cook, youth camp nurse, and involved with the PTA. She was a member of Church of God 7th Day, where she served as a Sabbath school teacher. Ruth is survived by her children; sons, Larry (Marcy), Dwight (Christy), Tim (Kathy), Ron (Ana), Jeff (Beth), Calvin (Denise); daughter, Barbara (Jerry) Nease; daughter-in-law, Kimm Ogren; brother, Henry (Phyllis) Geiszler; sister, Clara Alberg; sisters-in-law, Ruth Geiszler and FloraBelle Geiszler; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, cousins; and many related through “love”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolf and Natalie Geiszler; husband, Harmon Ogren; son, Wayne Ogren; brothers, Harold, Richard, Rudy, Leonard, Billy, Edward; sister, Irma Jenkins.
Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, from 8am-8pm at Lodi Funeral Home. A Chapel service will be held on Thursday, at 1pm at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ruth Ogren to the Spring Vale Academy Student Fund, earmarked for her great nephew, Graham Ogren, at 4150 S. M-52, Owosso, MI. 48867.
